Coast Guard continues search for missing man

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas - The Coast Guard is continuing its search for a missing man that was swept off the Packery Channel jetties yesterday evening.

A watchstander at Coast Guard Sector Corpus Christi received a call at 5:42 p.m. from the Corpus Christi Police Department, reporting a group of four people were swept off the sourthern jetty of Packery Channel by a wave. 

An HH-65C Dolphin helicopter from Air Station Corpus Christi was launched last night and early this morning to search for the missing 19 year-old man. 

The Coast Guard plans to continue searching the area this afternoon with a helicopter.
