Coast Guard Rescues two people from disabled vessel

NEW ORLEANS - The Coast Guard rescued two people from a 26-foot cabin cruiser near Lake St. Catherine, near Slidell Saturday, Sept. 20, 2008. 

Coast Guard Air Station New Orleans recieved a call for assistance at  9 p.m. from Coast Guard Sector New Orleans reporting one adult male and one adult female were needing assistance aboard a disabled vessel.

A HH-65C rescue helicopter was launched to the scene and safely hoisted and transported both people to Slidell airport.
