This is a safe boating public service announcement from the Coast Guard, urging anyone on the water to be safe and wear a life jacket.

Rear Adm. Mary Landry, commander Eighth Coast Guard District, officiates as Capt. William Diehl (right), outgoing Sector Houston-Galveston commanding officer passes the watch to Capt. Marcus Woodring (left), June 19, 2009.  Capt. Woodring assumed the duties of Sector Houston-Galveston commanding officer in an official ceremony held at the Leon Grayson Community Center in Houston.

Hundreds of guests attended the time-honored Change of Command ceremony, which included Coast Guardsmen from various Sector Houston-Galveston units and local industry professionals.
